Here is a poem for you guys, it was initially a verse for a song, but I decided to make it a stand-alone poem. Enjoy: 

   War

We go through war everyday in this world,

Life is a war, what I say to my girl.

We been at war since satan was hurled,

Down to the dust with his hatred unfurled!

Spirals in his eyes show the hatred swirl!

Like an angel stole his favorite pearl!

From the depth of the ocean where they made this world!

Someone, please God save this world!

In this spirtual war, I can't change this world,

Erase and then rearrange this world. 

I don't even play in this world!

Snakes in the grass take you away in this world!

That's why I don't wanna stay in this world!

Though while I'm here, I'll start to change myself.

I started with myself, then needed some help!

That's what friends are for, if not, what else?

Now I understand the Lord's meaning of wealth:

True friends, true ends, good life and health!

Not the treasure that you keep for yourself!

You better believe you'll need some help!

Pride is a killer like a thief in stealth!

Takin' all you have, before you see it yourself!

Takin' all you have, as if seen on a shelf,

Of a store in the midst of a cleanout sale!

"Everything must go and we wish you well!",

This war is too real, it's heaven and hell!

We roll in small groups like a Splinter Cell!

Doin' it for the One (Jesus) that made us well!

He's the reason we ain't in hell!

Though we deserve it, we ain't perfect,

The faith in the blood is what keeps us workin'!

Survivin' this flood through deep immersion!
