It seems the problem we have as Christians is that we spend so much time trying to ACT like one rather than actually trying to BE one. Sometimes it turns people away from the faith if we are trying too hard. People don't want to be preached at, they would rather you just talk with them.
Another problem Christians have is turning people away because they walk out of church on Sunday and go on about their normal ways. It seems as if they have forgotten everything that was said during the sermon as soon as they step out those doors into the world.
As Christians we are to be the light of the world. To share the Gospel not turn people away because of our attitude. Our attitude defines ourselves. Make them think that you are a Christian without you even telling them. Your actions have a lot to do with that. Sometimes our image to the world turns people away to Christianity. For instance, if Christians act like everyone else then Nonchristians would see no reason to know Christ. Therefore Christians would be no different than Nonchristians.

Hi Luke,
I like what you said about our attitudes defining us. If we are walking with Christ there should be evidence of His love. That love should be reflected in our lives. If a person walks away from us and doesn't get that, then we have failed.
Good point. If we are trying too hard, I wonder, who is it that we are trying to convince? Great reminder to walk with Jesus and let Him do the talking.
Thought provoking, but I wish you would give us a little more with each post. Sometimes I'm not quite sure which direction you're headed in.
