Hell
created on Fri, 05/02/2008 - 21:01

As I awaken to the sound of silence,
It pierces my ears as a dull knife-
No sharper than a sphere
Sending pain through my paralyzed mind.
As I open my eyes, the darkness burns through my retinas.
I try to close them, but the light is too bright.
As my tears begin to incinerate my face,
Fire diminishes the flame.
The cool sensation of the heat soothes my body.
As I try to inhale, I cannot breathe
Yet the air is choking me,
Though I feel nothing.
