This will be the first in a series of short stories that I like to call “GOD STORIES”.
I have heard from friends and acquaintances regarding God profoundly moving in their lives. Great stories and quick anecdotes about things that happened in their day that made them stop and reflect on Gods plan for their lives, or a little nudge to keep up the good fight. Sometimes we aren’t listening, well maybe a little more than sometimes, and we tend to miss the message that God is sending. But on those special occasions when we are focused and abiding in the word we get a glimpse of God’s infinite wisdom, mercy, and blessings. Do you ever listen for Gods direction in your daily life? If so, how do you respond? Are you blessed by the outcome? Obviously, things don’t always go our way, but one thing to keep in mind is that God’s way is the right way, and His way will come in His time. Affirmation is a great way for you to know that God is listening. As long as your paying attention, and don’t miss it. Jesus began to teach in parables in the book of Mark. He did this so those who were listening, and “hearing”, would understand His important teaching.
“And He, said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Mark 4: 9
I have a friend who shared with me how he got a bit of a jolt that some would say is a coincidence, and others, who have faith, will call divine guidance.
While working on an estimate for an affluent customer, he decided to inflate the bid from a sub contractor by a few hundred dollars and felt a tinge of guilt about it. The program he was working on calculates the profit and overhead after all the other information is entered. So when he finally entered his final number the profit and overhead amount read… $666.00. Now some may see this as odd, coincidence, or even justified. But in his heart he knew that it was God’s reminder to him to “do all you do as if you were working for the Lord. After adjusting the sub contractor’s cost back to what was originally submitted the $666.00 amount was reset. This feeling of affirmation is what we all strive for. Isn’t it great to feel the affirmation from God when we heed His teaching.
Doing what’s good and right, we fight the good fight!

Love IT!!!! Life is all about having faith and doing the work of God. I too have had many rudges from God if you will. I always look for those signs from God to keep me on track. Would love to hear more stories.
Cool story! It reminds me of how the little things count. Sometimes it isn't the big things God does, but the little things that show how He loves and protects us. The result coming out $666.00 definitely reminds me of that because God could have let him sin in a small way, but helped him out because large sin does start off small. I am trying to be rid of sin when it's small as well, and you are right that it is a fight! Thanks again.
