All Roads Lead To an End
(Dec 28th-2009)
By Trevor Goforth
Too many days with tears,
Remembering yester years
It breaks my heart,
How love can be torn apart?
Two planes going in different directions,
Yet I feel like I am stuck in the city intersection,
Push came to shove,
You said, “I can’t live with someone I do not love.”
The fog rolls in over the bay,
I am left with nothing to say,
It’s just the way the way the world moves,
Everyone has to follow their own grooves.
I still love you,
You have to do what you have to do.
There is still the closing of the door,
I wish I could give you more.
Tired of trying to work it out,
There is just too much fear and doubt,
All roads lead to an end,
In Eternity; will you still call me a friend?

Trevor, this was very nicely done. I've been reading a lot of poetry of late and it often seems the goal is to be so cryptic no one will know what you're trying to say. I find that completely annoying. You however were quite clear, this piece was emotionally very strong..your words were few, but one has a sense of a much bigger experience. I'm so sorry that you were near enough to this experience to be able to write this piece...continue writing, when you find the hope from/in this story put it out there too...the journey is dark, but the end is not yet...
