December 17, 1990, 12:33 pm, Justin was born to Art and Teresa Ortiz.
From day one they were blessed. With his fine set of lungs he taught them how to be alert. As a young boy, his lungs would prove faithful by screaming in the fields, teaching his mother how to run bare-foot down the pavement in 3-seconds flat only to find he was stung by a bee...As a teenage boy he taught them the value of working hard--which enabled them to supply adequate medical coverage--something he was destined to put to good use.
And then it happened... December 17, 2008, he became an adult...at least in the eyes of the government.
To show his parents what a fine job they did raising him, he decided to give them a special gift.
He wanted them to know how blessed he was to be an Ortiz--to show all the world with his bareback. His mother cried tears of honor as her son would proudly display the name that he will one day pass on to his own.
What more could a mom ask for that her son have no shame. His next big joy is to smoke a cigar, the long awaited special treasure to share with Father Ortiz when he returns home from a distant land.
Indeed it was a special day. So.. he is 18-years old, who knew it would come to this?
Dedicated to Justin Anthony Ortiz from his Mother Teresa, who could not be more proud of the young man he has become--who says, Happy birthday to you--when your parents get old, you better push them around in their wheelchair and spend all hours of the night at the ER if the need should ever arise...and get a good job so you can pay all their medical bills---Happy birthday to you, and many more!

Congratulations Teresa and Happy New Year.
Hi Joan! Thank you and Happy New Year to you too! May the Lord direct you in the way you should go in 2009!
How are things going on your end? I slowed down as far as writing in the last 6 weeks or so while Art was away. It was a tough adjustment. He is home for 2 weeks and then will be gone again. This time, I am better prepared.
Keep on keepin' on--you being used everyday! Blessings, Teresa
