So I realize this is the second Disneyland related post in 2 weeks but hear me out, I think after this I’ll have it all out of my system.
It wasn’t too long ago that I was at Disneyland, watching Fantasmic: probably one of the greatest live performances in the history of the world. After the show, the park began to close and the large pile of tourists began filing out to their cars. The kids at Disneyland are really what it’s all about. Some kids were asleep, other kids were crying, and other kids were running full speed ahead into my legs (I don’t know why this happens, but they always seem to do this to me when I go to Disneyland. I am a huge advocate for giving children under the age of 12 seeing-eye-dogs whenever they enter a major theme park.) Yet this one girl, about age 4 or 5 had obviously been amped up by the creative energy surrounding the Fantasmic show and was now singing at the top of her lungs as her parents carried her outside the park. HERE I AM TO WORRRRRRRSHIP HERE I AM TO BOWWWWWWW DOWN HERE I AM TO SAAAAAY THAT YOU’RE MY GOD Wow. This kid was a 4 year old worship leader! And in a crowded environment filled with all different types of tired, cranky people with different backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions….no one seemed to be offended at this little kid’s bold, off-pitch, declaration. As a worship leader, my mind starts to wonder what our worship would look like if we offered it with the unabashed, imaginative mindset of a child. What kind of people would we influence if worship wasn’t simply something we sing or say, but simply our natural and honest response to God in the midst of our messy, sometimes off-pitch lives? What if we understood worship like this little girl understood it… resting on the shoulders of her father awestruck at the fireworks she can see clearly? |

Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! From the mouth of babes...
What does the Bible say? If we don't praise Him, the rocks will cry out, and I suspect, more than a few children.
