Being a man I is a good thing. As I read the forward of Why Guys Need God, I was struck with the understanding poured into the words. “I should be more, but I am not.” “Let us make man in our image…” Whether male or female, we are made in the image of God. Erre is quick to point out that we are not God, but we reflect his image. “Being a man is a good thing.” “Our desires for sex, success, significance, and competition are good things if we direct them properly.” Males and females approach worship differently. Since God created both male and female, He intended for there to be differences. Why Guys Need God discusses three areas of Biblical teaching: Creation, Fall, and Redemption. Among these things, the three areas encompassed are: man’s humanity, sex, work, marriage and parenthood. Too often, we think we are “bad” because of our wants, needs, and desires. If God created man, woman, sex, etc., then all is good for He declared it good. In all things there is to be balance. Why Guys Need God? He is the creator; He has a plan for our lives, and He loves us. I highly recommend Why Guys Need God to all men.
