By Fire or Fire is a place to explore issues of singleness, romance and God. I want to ask better questions about these issues than any  you have yet encountered... By Fire or Fire is run by me, Matthew Anderson. I happens to be married to Charity. She's deadly smart, even better looking, and amazingly patient with my antics. And wow, does she need patience. During the last three years, I have been a student, a small-business owner, a freelance editor, a writer, a public speaker, a conference coordinator and a financial advisor. If it seems like I can't hold down a steady job, it's true. My first passion is to be holy, which means becoming a better husband, friend and servant. My second passion is to communicate the power and truth of the Gospel to the world, and especially to my generation. I want to help foster a generation of Christian leaders who are humbly, intelligently, wisely, articulately, joyfully, and passionately dedicated to that truth. I think the best road to fostering those leaders is through discussion, debate and rich conversations among friends. I hope that ConversantLife becomes a home for such conversations, and that you'll join me here.
