Back to Life

V1:

Our chests beat

Our lungs go in and out

But are we living?

Our time flies

Our bodies bend and break

But are we giving?

Awaken our souls crying out to be complete

Our hearts have forgotten why they beat

Chorus:

Bring us back to life

It's Your glory that we breathe

Bring us back to life, Lord, life Lord

Bring us back o life

It's Your mercy that we need

Bring us back to life Lord, life Lord

V2:

We shout loud

Our voices make a sound

But are we praising

We choose now

A generations vow

Your life embracing

Awaken our souls crying out to be complete

Our hearts have forgotten why they beat

Chorus

Bridge:

And we will run along the path of Your commands

For it is you that set out hearts free

Wonderful! Keep 'em coming.

Great song, great performance. You got it!

I like it. The melody reminds me of Tree63. I wish I had talent like yours. I wish I had hair. When I was growing up, one of my best friends was always locked in his bedroom learning to play the acoustic guitar. I could never get him to come out an play football or baseball. Me and my friends thought he was looser. Then when we got in high school, out comes his Gibson Les Paul, Flying V, Explorer, and he was a lead guitarist in a local rockband and warmup band for bands coming to town. He was cool, ladies all around, and you know the sex, drug, and rock and roll stories. That was in my BC days. I eventually got saved. However, still to this day, I wish I could play an SG. Keep it up, I liked it. My daughter was contemplating going to Biola to play soccer, but we couldn't swing the cost of the scholarship. She stayed in town and is on scholarship at Fresno State. We all fell in love with the Biola campus. God's plans aren't always our plans.
