My wife and I will be living in Erdenet, Mongolia until the summer of 2009. She is serving in the Peace Corps, working at the Children's Center in the city which creates and coordinates youth-oriented projects around the city. She has done seminars on human trafficking and AIDS prevention, taught English, and teaches a photography class on the weekends.

I currently teach English to the doctors and nurses at the hospital in town and to missionaries at the YWAM base. I am hoping to create and implement two projects with the local churches in our area. The first is channelling theological materials and resources such as commentaries, concordances, and classic literature in either English or Russian to the people over here. Christianity has only existed in Mongolia for 15 years so the churches are very young, the pastors have little training, and the lay-people even less.

The second is partnering the church's countryside evangelism team and worship team to put on conferences around the country.

If you can be of any assistance in either project please feel free to contact me through my Conversant blog or at nick.bogardus@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading!
