June 2007, volunteer service teaching in training program for African surgeons at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. The Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons has the goal of training 100 African surgeons by 2020. This is done in Christian hospitals in various countries in Africa. The surgical training is done parallel to discipleship training in the Christian walk. For more information cut and paste or click on link. Almost all of the surgical training programs in Africa, other than those sponsored by PAACS, are in major cities. PAACS programs are typically in rural mission/church hospitals, preparing young doctors to practice in conditions prevalent throughout most of the continent.
