The Christianity 101 series of books came out of a need for someone to explain the basics of Christianity in an understandable and conversational way. Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz, friends and co-writers, decided to take on the task. Hey, they didn't know any better, which was probably a good thing. Bruce and Stan knew that they lacked the proper credentials (such as an advanced theological degree), but they had a heart for this stuff and a desire to create some trustworthy content that anyone could access, whether they were a long-time Christian or someone looking at faith for the very first time.

Bruce and Stan wrote "Knowing God 101" first, because it all starts with God, doesn't it? Then they collaborated on "Knowing the Bible 101" and "Bible Prophecy 101," and before long they just couldn't stop. Harvest House, their long-time publishing partner, even asked them to write a series of Bible Study commentaries. When will it end?

Probably when these guys run out of things to say, which isn't likely to happen any time soon. They just love to talk about God and their faith, and they enjoy encouraging others to do the same.

So who are these guys? Thought you'd never ask. Bruce Bickel is an attorney, but he'd prefer to be a stand up comedian when he grows up. He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in the Seattle area. Stan Jantz managed a chain of Christian retail stores for more than 25 years, and now works in marketing. He and his wife, Karin, live in Southern California.
