Clearly, Israel as a nation is very important and special to God (see Deuteronomy 7:6-8). In His covenant to Abraham, God promised that the world would be blessed through the "great nation" that would come from Abraham's seed (see Genesis 12:1-3).
Already, that promise has come true with the coming of the Messiah, who came "to that which was his own, but his own did not recognize him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:11-12). Even though Israel as a nation rejected Christ, the Gentiles were blessed with God's salvation through Christ because the promise given to Abraham. That is why John later wrote, "for salvation is from the Jews" (John 4:22). They transmitted God's Covenant of Promise.
So, even though the political nation of Israel today is a secular state, there is still "a remnant chosen by grace" (Romans 11:5). Jews are being saved by faith in Jesus, and as such are joining the universal body of Christ, which is the church. As fellow believers, we need to support God's chosen people. That doesn't mean we have to automatically support all of the decisions of the secular state of Israel, but we need to have God's heart for God's people and bless them when we can.
As God's covenant promise to Abraham concludes: "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse" (Genesis 12:3).

So who were Yeshua's followers? Also, how many centuries passed before Gentiles were beilevers? If you were to study church history you would see that when they came to Rabbi Saul (Apostle Paul) "the Way" as they were called were concerened with Gentiles wanting to become part of the body and they were telling Paul they needed to convert. Paul told them they were included in the body of Messiah. I have a problem with people saying Israel or Jews rejected Messiah. Yes indeed there were the Pharisees, but did not our Messiah have to be led like a sheep to slaughter in order to fukfill all the prophecies of the Tenach? The reason our people fell away from their faith is because of leaders like Constentine and the Roman catholic church from which Christianity comes from. I hope you know Martin Luther and Calvin the "church fathers" were all anti-semites. It is the most Jewish thing in the world to accept Yeshua HaMashiach but because of the corruption throughout the years and the falling away from the Truth, some our people do not see. Us Messianics hav been around since our Messiah walked this earth.
I pray that you would see the Scriptures through the eyes they were written. You are also grafted into Yisrael, as a follwer of Messiah Yeshua.
In love I will tell you that Jews do not accept "Christ" that term is Greek and it in no way encompasses Yeshua Adonai, the living G-d.
Question: If you were to translate Yeshua, what do you think it would be?
Which sounds closer Joshua or Jesus (prounced Jezuz)
Just something to ponder.
God's chosen people are the elect members of his church, not some secular nation-state.
Yes, there is a remnant chosen by grace among Jews, but there is also a remnant chosen by grace in Germany, China, Japan, Russia, Canada, Mexico, and everywhere else on earth. That does not mean we give those nations special status.
The nation of Israel was a shadow of the church and has been fulfilled in Christ. No distinct purpose for the nation of Israel remains.
And I might add, there are Arabs and Palestinians who are chosen by grace. Living and praising Christ everyday.
