Awsome Orphans #3

Hello again.  I hope that everyone is doing well back in America.

Ok so lately I've been spending more time at the ministry enter and we not having as many “gospel meetings”.  I've been spending a lot of time with the orphans at the center.  There are 9 of them and needless to say they have stolen my heart.  I've decided that I'm going to be their father:] Just kidding. First I'll finish school, get married and then be their father. hehe.  I want to tell you about a few of them.

First Babavale.  He is 12 years old and came to the center when he was 4.  His father is actually still alive and there is a reason why they made an acceptation to take him.  He lived with his father in the back of a bike rickshaw for the first 4 years of his life (1st picture).  His father was barely able to make enough money recycling paper to feed them let alone have a place to live.  For weeks everyday his father came to the center begging that they take his son.  They said under one condition will we take your son... you have to visit him at least once a week.  So every Sunday he faithfully comes.  He also ended up converting from Islam to Christianity as he saw the gospel in their actions.  Babavale is the most well behaved kid I've ever seen and he speaks decent enough English to translate between me and the kids.  I actually took him with me to the internet shop today and he told me to say hello to you! haha

On to Raju and Sundya.  They are brother and sister. (2nd picture) Raju was the 1st boy I met here.  I held out my hand to him and he slowly grabbed my finger and did not let go for the next hour as he followed me everywhere:]  Sundya is one of the most adorable girls I've ever met.  She rarely talks, but when she does I wish I could put her voice in a jar and keep it forever.  She goes off alone a lot and I always wonder what she is thinking about.  They both have no known relatives and their parents died of disease.  It's hard to comprehend how something like that will effect their lives and how much pain they do and will feel, however whenever Sundya laughs it temporarily convinces me that she is living a perfect life...  The kids are so joyfull, obedient and content.  They practically never complain and will sit quietly for hours, a little different than most of the kids on know in America:]

Alright well that is enough for now I've got get back for dinner. In Christ, David Peterka

Shane Claiborne= If we lose kids to the culture of drugs, violence and materialism; it’s not because we don’t entertain them, it’s because we don’t dare them.

Psalm 72:12-14 "For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

Proverbs 29:7 "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.
