Can a loser find love?  

I had the privilege of viewing the premiere showing of Coyote County Loser at Landmark Theaters in West Los Angeles last week. In this romantic comedy set in desert and barren Roswell, New Mexico, Coyote County Loser (written and produced by Jacob Roebuck and directed by Jason Naumman whose other films include “The Wash,” “In Between,” “Happy Wednesday” and “Jesus People”) radio personalities Dr. Lauren Hartford (played by Nikki Boyer, TV host of TLC’s “Perfect Proposal” and TV Guide’s “Watch This”, as well as actress in 6 films) and Jack Proctor, the Love Doctor (played by actor Beau Clark who has most recently been working on features, shorts and commercials) find themselves in an all out throw-down competition to find love for Coyote County, New Mexico’s, biggest loser.

When it comes to finding life long love, Dr. Lauren Hartford encourages listeners of Coyote County’s K-RAP radio to take the practical approach to love. She recommends creating a checklist of needs and wants as if one was considering love like considering the purchase of a new car. However, the Love Doctor views love as magical, adventurous and exciting. He encourages listeners to throw their hand crafted lists out the window and have fun with love.

In this competition to help Coyote County’s Loser find love, Dr. Lauren and the Love Doctor will discover that they may have a thing or two to learn about love as well.

 This film will captivate you and entertain you. You’ll find yourself laughing often and you may even experience moisture escaping from your tear ducts (unless you are Chandler Bing of course).  Filmed in Roswell, New Mexico, it would only make sense that even an alien conspiracy weaves its way throughout the film, providing a comical side story.

In a society where movies and television have often times created a false image of love, Coyote County Loser succeeds in its attempt to unveil the true meaning and beauty of love.
