LED lights lasts decades longer and save more energy than Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs without any associated toxic mercury problem. Yet, a recent government law banning ordinary lightbulbs and heavy promotion of CFL's means we will soon have millions of CFL's ending up in our landfills. This will lead to mercury poisoning of our water supply, fish that we eat, and other food.
